Cases of temporary suspension of notary practice probation are specified in Clause 1, Article 9 Circular No. 08/2023/TT-BTP as follows:

1. Probationers may temporarily suspend their probation in the following cases:
a) The trainee takes maternity leave, due to health reasons or other legitimate reasons;
b) The probationary certification practice organization must temporarily suspend operations due to force majeure events, or be suspended for a limited period of time without the probationer requesting to change the probationary location.
2. In the case specified in Point a, Clause 1 of this Article, the probationer must notify in writing the notary practice organization where he or she is practicing no later than 05 working days before the date of temporary suspension of the probation. Attached are documents proving the reason for temporarily suspending the internship.
The notary public practice organization certifying the probation must notify in writing the Department of Justice within 05 working days from the date the probationer temporarily suspends his or her probation in the cases specified in Clause 1 of this Article, of which clearly state the reason and duration of probation suspension.

According to the above regulations, probationers are allowed to temporarily suspend their probation in cases where the probationary certification certification organization must temporarily suspend operations due to force majeure events, or is suspended from operations for a limited period of time without the probationer not being able to do so.
