Where should passenger vehicle ban signs be placed according to regulations?
Passenger vehicle prohibition signs are placed in the locations specified in Clause 30.1, Article 30 National technical regulation QCVN 41:2019/BGTVT promulgated withCircular 54/2019/TT-BGTVT There are regulations on the location of prohibition signs according to the direction of travel and effective direction of the sign as follows:
The location of the prohibition sign depends on the direction of travel and the effective direction of the sign
30.1. Prohibition signs are placed at intersections or in front of a location on the road that needs to be banned.
The sign is effective starting from the position where the sign is placed onwards. If for some reason, the sign is placed far away from the intended ban position, an auxiliary sign number S.502 must be placed to clearly indicate the distance from behind the ban sign to the position where the sign begins to take effect.
30.2. When necessary to clearly indicate the direction of effect of the sign and indicate the starting position or ending position of the sign's effect, the auxiliary sign number S.503 "Direction of effect of the sign" must be placed.
30.3. Prohibition signs from license plate number P.101 to license plate number P.120 do not need to specify the effective scope of the sign, there is no sign that the prohibition ends.
30.4. When necessary, in case of a ban due to blocked or damaged roads and bridges, the prohibition signs mentioned in Clause 30.3 of this Article shall be accompanied by signs indicating the path for prohibited vehicles.
30.5. License plate P.121 and license plate P.128 are valid until the end of the prohibited distance written on the auxiliary plate number S.501 or until the location of license plate DP.135 "All prohibitions end".
30.6. License plate P.123 (a,b) and license plate P.129 are valid in the area where the sign is located.
30.7. License plate P.124 (a, b, c, d, e, f) is valid at intersections and median strip openings but does not allow U-turns or based on the auxiliary license plate S. 503.
30.8. License plates P.125, P.126, P.127 (a,b,c), P.130, P.131 (a,b,c) are valid until the intersection meets or where they are placed. No prohibited signs (plate numbers DP.133, DP.134, DP.135, DP.127d). License plates P.130 and P.131 (a, b, c) are also based on the auxiliary plates.
30.9. If the road section must have signs prohibiting passing through intersections (except intersections with alleys, alleys, or entrances to agencies or units; or neighboring land where vehicles can only enter and exit the land by a common path), the prohibition sign must be repeated and placed behind the intersection in the direction of the road where the prohibition sign is located, except in cases where there are separate regulations or additional signs attached.
Thus, according to the above regulations, signs prohibiting passenger vehicles are placed at intersections or in front of a location on the road that needs to be banned.
