1. What is a dance floor and bar business?

- The ballroom in the discotheque must have an area of not less than 80m2 and must meet standards for soundproofing and fire prevention. In addition, it must be located at least 200m away from schools, hospitals, religious and belief facilities, historical and cultural relics, and state administrative agencies.
- Equipment and facilities operating in the ballroom must meet standards for sound and lighting.
According to Article 10 of Circular No. 04/2009/TT-BVHTTDL, cultural houses and cultural centers that want to be granted a dance hall business license must be a legal entity as prescribed in Article 84 of the 2015 Civil Code. 2005. The distance from the ballroom door to the gate of schools, hospitals, religious and belief establishments, historical-cultural relics, and state administrative agencies must be 200m or more. This gap only applies in cases where the above establishments already existed before the discotheque business registered to operate or applied for a business license.
Sound emitted from the ballroom must not exceed the State's maximum allowable noise level, measured at the windows and doors entering the ballroom.
Therefore, to conduct discotheque business, organizations must comply with the above conditions as prescribed by law.
