What conditions must a unilateral visa exemption decision for Swedish citizens meet?
According to Article 13 Law on Entry, Exit, Transit, and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam 2014 regulates on unilateral visa exemption decisions for citizens of a country must meet the following conditions:
Unilateral visa exemption
1. A decision to unilaterally exempt visas for citizens of a country must meet all of the following conditions:
a) Have diplomatic relations with Vietnam;
b) In accordance with Vietnam's socio-economic development and foreign policy in each period;
c) Do not harm Vietnam's national defense, security, social order and safety.
2. Unilateral visa exemption decisions are valid for no more than 5 years and can be considered for extension. The unilateral visa exemption decision will be canceled if the conditions specified in Clause 1 of this Article are not met.
3. Pursuant to the provisions of this Article, the Government decides to unilaterally exempt visas for a limited time for each country.
According to regulations, unilateral visa exemption decisions for Swedish citizens must meet the following conditions:
- Have diplomatic relations with Vietnam;
- Consistent with Vietnam's socio-economic development and foreign policy in each period;
- Do not harm Vietnam's national defense, security, social order and safety.
