What types of water resources licenses are included according to current regulations?

Based on Article 15 Decree No. 02/2023/ND-CP stipulated as follows:

Water resources license

1. Water resources licenses include: Underground water exploration licenses; license to exploit and use surface water; license to exploit and use underground water; License to exploit and use sea water.

2. The water resources license has the following main contents:

a) Name and address of the organization or individual licensed;.

b) Name and location of water exploration and exploitation works;

c) Water sources for exploration and exploitation;

d) Scale, capacity, flow, and main parameters of water exploration and exploitation works; Purpose of use for water exploitation and use license;

d) Regime and methods of water exploitation and use;

e) Term of the license;

g) Specific requirements and conditions for each case of exploration, exploitation and use of water resources are prescribed by the licensing agency for the purpose of protecting water sources and ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of water resources. other relevant organizations and individuals;

h) Rights and obligations of the license holder.

According to this regulation, water resources licenses include the following 5 types:

- License for underground water exploration;

- License to exploit and use surface water;

- License to exploit and use underground water;

- License to exploit and use sea water.
