Where to get a visa online?

Pursuant to the provisions in Clause 11 Article 3 Law on Entry, Exit, Transit, and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam, visa is a document issued by a competent Vietnamese agency, allowing foreigners to enter Vietnam.

Currently, foreigners can carry out online visa procedures through the electronic visa information page of the Ministry of Public Security's public service portal (with the Vietnamese domain name "https://dichvucong.bocongan.gov.vn/", in English it is "https://e-services.mps.gov.vn/").

Accordingly, conditions to apply for an online visa include:

- Foreigners who have a passport and are not in the following cases of not allowing entry:

+ Not eligible for entry:

Entry conditions

1. Foreigners are allowed to enter the country when they meet the following conditions:

a) Have a passport or valid international travel document and visa, except for visa exemption cases as prescribed by this Law.

For foreigners entering the country under unilateral visa exemption, their passport must be valid for at least 6 months;

b) Not in the case of not allowing entry specified in Article 21 of this Law.

+ Children under 14 years old who are not accompanied by a parent, guardian or authorized person.

+ Forging documents and declaring falsely to obtain valid documents for entry, exit, or residence.

+ People with mental illness or infectious diseases that pose a danger to public health.

+ Be deported from Vietnam within 3 years from the effective date of the deportation decision.

+ Being forced to exit Vietnam within 6 months from the effective date of the decision to exit Vietnam.

+ For reasons of disease prevention and control.

+ Due to natural disasters.

+ For reasons of national defense, security, social order and safety.

- Foreigners who are citizens of countries and territories on the list of eligible for electronic visas according to the Government's Resolution.
